An Introduction to Agile Software Development

This workshop provides an introduction to Agile Software Development projects from a project management perspective.  The workshop will cover the goals of Agile methods, as well as various practical approaches used within the Agile suite for project planning, estimation and management, as well as an overview of the supporting software engineering practices used in software development and testing.

Objectives:
To provide delegates with an overview of Agile Software Development in order to appreciate the goals and practices from a project management perspective.

Expected Learning Outcomes:
Ability to understand some of the main Agile Software Development practices, as well as an appreciation of how and where they can be applied to the planning and execution of their projects.

Workshop Style:
Instructor led with presentation slides and handouts. Sufficient time will be available for delegates to interact with the facilitator.

Target Audience:
Project managers wishing to get an overview of Agile Software Development processes in order to plan and manage Agile projects.
