Shawn has been involved in the software development industry for over 20 years.  Having worked in numerous roles, from Software Development through to Project Management, Shawn’s role now includes a part-time role looking at continually enhancing and improving the processes used within Beacon software development projects.  Whilst Beacon has historically structured software development projects using the Rational Unified Process (RUP), the continuous improvement and desire for best practice within Beacon has led to many Agile disciplines being adopted within the larger RUP process over time.  Beacon not only uses various Agile practices in its projects, but has also assisted external project teams in their adoption of best practice software development processes.
