Effective Presentation Skills
Giulio di Somma
Presentation skills are a division of public speaking and whilst this short session will not teach the attendee to be an orator it will dispel some of the myths associated with presentations, as well as reviewing some of the basics that are necessary for good presentations.
There is no prior learning required as the starting point will assume some experience and a willingness to learn and interact with others. Basic outline of the session: Preview, Project, Planning, Preparation, Practice, Present, Post view. If time permits the attendees will be invited to present an impromptu presentation before the session closes.
Objectives
Learn a new skill, refresh basics, bolster confidence, have fun, network with participants, earn PDUs.
Expected Learning Outcomes
That attendees will leave with greater confidence and a basic skill enabling them to present to an audience when called upon to do so in a professional and self confident matter.
Workshop Style
Workshop style will be with attendees participating and practicing – interactive.
Target Audience
Entry level to managers who would like to brush up on their basic presenting skills.
